JAIPUR: The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the list of exam centers for conducting JEE-Mains and JEE-Advanced exam schedule in April and May respectively has disappointed the aspirants from northern and eastern Rajasthan. State has six exam centers for both exams including Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Kota, Jodhpur and Udaipur. Last year, state had 10 exam centers.
Amit Ahuja, a student counsellor at Kota Coaching major, said, "Rajasthan is a big state and CBSE must have chosen any city in the Northern Rajasthan among Churu, Jhunjhunu and Sri Ganganagar. While in the eastern Rajasthan, they should have chosen either Alwar or Karauli."
The JEE-Mains will be conducted both offline and online on April 3 and from April 9 to 10 respectively. This year over 4,500 students are expected to appear in the exam from Rajasthan including 30, 000 from Kota coaching institutes. The last date for submitting the exam forms is December 31.
